Just curious as to the different prices for fishing permits around the country. Here in New York the season permit fee is $25. What state are you from and how much does your fishing permit cost?

I think Wyoming is $36 for a resident, then $5/boat for the invasive sticker, so I ended up paying $46. I fished 81 days last year so that works out to about $1.76/day.

Ohio is $19 for resident $10 for 66+ seniors and $40 for non-resident annual. No license is required for active military on leave. It's free for disabled vets, former POWs and 78+ seniors.

It's really free for disabled vets? I'm going to have to look into it for sure. I was going to get an Ohio license this year maybe but he'll if it's free how can I say no.

$24 here in AK. I just buy the combo hunting and fishing for $48 though. If there are enough kings around to fish for I will throw down another $10 for a king stamp. Tags for hunting are free over the counter for most everything after that. It's a real bargain as far as I'm concerned.

NM $25, plus trout and habitat stamps..$35
Senior 65-69 is $8, plus trout and habitat stamps...$18
70+ is free

CO non-resident is $56

We buy both NM and CO. I think NM works to about $2 for both per day. CO, OTOH, is probably about $4.50 per day for both.

Worth every penny, IMHO.

Thread made me think, I don't remember, but I think its fifteen dollars for people my age. Which reminds me, I need a 2015. Will have to ask about getting a Steelhead punch card; if I land one he/she's going back so do I really need one? End game is they're just big trout?

Speaking of age Fred, I just got my lifetime license here on January second :) I don't have to buy one anymore.
Ard: Now you can do what my friend Pete in Laramie does when Game and Fish asks to see his license, he always says, "I haven't bought a license in years". He has a lifetime Wyoming license.
