Back in the day, the Bitterroot was fine river...but they ceded it to CA. Also back in the day, the Missouri ran at 12,000+ CFS; good for steam paddle wheeled gambling boats. But under climate change it is often at a wadeable 3 - 4,500 CFS; good for rising wild trout.

I've swung up quite a few walleyes now out of the Missouri.
There are no issues about whether or not to keep them, they're going to get eaten.

We floated the upper Missouri down to Canyon Ferry last year a few times and one of those times the walleyes were hitting the streamer better than anything else especially as we got close to the lake. We were actually pulling them off the banks just like browns.
Not much of a fight but we ate walleye for a few nights, can't complain about that.
