got that fever?

With temperatures on the rise here in Texas and the end of the semester in sight, i am really getting the fever to go fishing. I try to fish as much as i can during the summer months and always plan at least one long distance excursion with my Dad to New Mexico to fly fish there. I will be graduating this semester and seem to have the fever more than ever!

So, who else is getting the "fever" to fish?

Does anyone else out there plan big fishing trips with friends or family during the summer months?

Yea, got the fever myself! Got my driftboat yesterday and I'm itching to try it out....REAL soon. If the wind cooperates, I may make a quick up to a local lake in the Jemez (Fenton Lake) this week. Probably a good, low stress pace to try it out. After that, it's off to the San Juan and we'll be spending lots of time there this summer. 3 and 4 day trips, especially with the gas prices, to make it seem a little more worthwhile. I'm hoping Colorado is in the plans as well.

Jayraider- The best fix I know of for the "fever" is to go fish anywhere you can, instead of waiting for a more legit real "fishing outing". If I'm guessing correctly that you're in Lubbock, that may be a bit of a challenge, but do what you can.

(best advice- find a job in San Antonio. The Guad, Medina, Blanco, and SA river are within an hour's drive. The Nueces, Pedernales, and the Coast within 2 hrs)
