Default First Trout :: Xavier & I on the West Branch, Delaware.

It happened. Xavier got his first trout this past Saturday - a wild brown on the West Branch of the Delaware. A few ended up at the end of my line as well. But alas, there was indeed one that got away. I couldn't bring in a pretty big brown even though it was on my line for 10 seconds or so. Our guide - Mr. Moose - figured it was over 20". I'll get him next time.

We stayed at the West Branch Angler & Resort in Hancock, NY. A great place run by truly great people. The owner, Harry, is a gem. Highly recommended.

Cheers, all!
Michael

Congrats to the boy Michael!!!

I don't remember my first ever trout (cripes, I don't even think anyone had ever heard of the Beatles back then) but I certainly remember my first partridge, first rabbit and first moose and for sure my first Brown.

I know the feeling and again, pat on the back to Xavier!!!!

Jamie
