Default dropper-dropper

Just looking for opinions and reasons why: When nymphing with two flies do you prefer to tie the dropper to the bend of the lead fly or do you tie it on the eye of the lead fly? I have done both and can't really decide. I feel tying both flies by the eye of the original is easiest. If I tie a dry-dropper, I go by the bend because it just seems to make more sense. What do you prefer ?

Do you always tie the heavier/larger fly first? Assuming they are both larva or nymphs and not at an emerging stage of their life cycle.

I don't fish droppers much but when I do it is always tied off at the bend of a buoyant dry like a Stimi or Hopper pattern. Usually I'm fishing two dries tied the same way. The tail fly will be a small mayfly.

I usually go for the bend of the lead fly.
I think it's a personal preference as far as choice, not really sure one is that much better than the other.
