Default My flyfishing life is suddenly looking up! How's yours?

I'm upbeat for two reasons:

1.) Not long ago, I got approval for vacation and will spend a few days next month fishing for trout at Bennett Springs State Park in Missouri, with an outside chance for some smallmouth fishing on the Huron River in Michigan.

2.) Yesterday, I received a completely unexpected gift: a traveling tying kit from an experienced fly tier (and all-around super guy) who wants to get a tying group started. As a beginner in tying whose been learning entirely on his own, this is a fantastic development!

Hi Flyfisher,

That is good news. It is a lot easier to learn when tying with a group.
