Cheaters - Magnifier glasses

Swing - Allowing a line to tighten up so the fly swings through the current.

Poach - Illegal take of a fish.

Boney - Bonefish

Juvi - Juvenile Tarpon. Also called baby tarpon.

Nervous Water. -- Water that's being unnaturally disturbed from below

Bowl.--- a cupped section of beach

Wash.-- Section of the shoreline where wave action occurs

Trough. -- Channel in the sand along the shoreline that the wash spills into

White Water.-- Waves breaking as they pass over a sand bar

Finger Bar.-- A sand bar that sticks out like a 'point' from the beach

Ocean Hole -- Deep water drop off at the edge of a sand bar, usually a finger bar

Slough.-- Section of water between a sand bar and the beach

Longshore Current.--- Current that travels parallel to the shore line in the slough

Run Out. -- When the long shore current turns toward the sea

Rip Current.-- "Run out" current exiting the slough through a break in the bars

Bowling. --- Sport you think you should have taken up after a less than stellar day of fishing

Farmer- Someone who blows it, letting the piggy get away.

Fish Ninja- Someone who lands the piggy.

Tic, or a take?- Indy indecision, was that bobber movement caused by a rock or fish?

Take- A glorious fishy moment.

Refusal- The opposite of a take.

Nervous mender- A fisher who constantly mends. (See refusal).

Casting brake- A bush, tree, or rock behind you, that grabs your fly.

Swimmer- Over-motivated wader.

Fish Nazi- A fisher who says there is only one way to fish, "their way", (Be it -Dry fly, Indie, streamer, still water, moving, 0wt., spey, etc.).

Demo fish- The "accidental fish" that the guide catches while demonstrating the right way to do it.

Guide- Trainer of fishermen (partime), and fish (full time).

Noticed none of my terms were in the glossary.

Dead Chicken - "..basically an overgrown Griffith's Gnat" I lost countless hours trying to find a "Dead Chicken" to purchase online. and of couse the local fable is somebody used a dead roadkill chicken to make this first fly that worked...
