Some, but not nearly as much.
Last winter the times that I would have to get out was probably more about the clothes under my waders. Got to do better.

If you live in an area that develops safe ice, I'd encourage you to actually give it a try thru a hole. When done properly, it's very close to fly fish. Only thing missing is the casting, call it vertical Czech nymphing.

I'd encourage you to leave the bait at home, try fishing flies. You learn alot about presentation.

I will. It gets cold here but not like some of you up north. I've fished below freezing many times, just dress for it. I love my scuba gloves, makes cold days bearable.

I don't fish as much but I do get out, but I'm restricted to tailwaters, everything else is frozen solid in the winter. The rest of the time I spend tying flies when not out fishing.

I'll fly fish a few times, just to get out and fish spots that are normally too crowded for my taste during the regular season. But I'm more likely to fish through the ice on a day to day basis.
I started jigging with flies 6-7 years ago. I can walk to my local pond and icefishing with my own flies instead of using bait makes that sort of fishing much more attractive to me than the normal chasing flags and "icedrinking" that most people do.
I also do a bit of back country skiing and winter camping so that keeps me out of trouble too.

The trout seaon is closed here...but I'm lucky to live in a region where it's never very cold so I can go fishing all year long for chub ,dace,blageons...sometimes there are nicer hatches in winter than in other seasons and I can always fish on nymph on sight.if I couldn't fish once a week I would quickly get depressed

When we have a spell of 'Predictable' mild weather I drive to the Kenai River and fish with flesh patterns. If you get a traditional fly / streamer deep enough I can get a good hit on them also. There is no way to predict whether I'll be there this winter of not.
