Default Hello from Missouri

Hey everyone, this is my first post I'm new to the forum and am getting back into fly fishing,I am wanting a new fly rod and have been looking around online, there seems to be alot of options out there.i have a bass pro shop close to home and was wandering if the white river brand of gear was a good option?
They have some rod and reel combos that are in my price range, and would like to know if they are worth the money?
Thanks

Hello from Nebraska! I have a white river classic reel from bass pro shop. I love it! They have decent combo's and a nice line of fly fishing gear. I'd say go for it!

Welcome to the board and welcome back to fly fishing. BassPro carries the TFO NXT combo which is one of the recommended low cost setups listed on the FAQ page of this board. Of course they also carry other brands. Take some time reading this and other on-line info and do your research before you buy. The fly shops in BassPro have been good in my experience, but I would also look for some other local fly shops and build a relationship if possible.

Definitely speak to Michael Kyle at Backcountry Outfitters in Springfield on Battlefield Road. He sells all of the gear, including TFO and Echo, both of which are affordably priced with a lifetime warranty. Check out the TFO Professional Series!
