Hi Duck,

See the little scale icon right above the date where your join date and rep are located? If I see a post you make and want to give you kudos I click the scale and up your rep and leave you a nice comment.

Of course you can do the same for me or anyone else that you would so choose to rep up.

Rep on man,

Ard

boone,

If we participate on this forum in a helpful and friendly way why not give each other a good reputation? No, you can't cash the points in like your REI dividend but hey, why not get a feel good when you see that people are recognizing your well intentioned mentoring or the answering of questions?

Myself I try to give good honest information to people who ask questions based on my 40 years of trial and error experiences. Not all readers may concur with my opinions but I engage in the forum anyway. For instance I hope you can agree with this answer to your question about why I or others may enjoy having a better rep.

If so, then like GMF said, rep me up Scottie!

Ard

Dorian,
Go to your 'user CP' and curser down and you will see a box that says "latest Rep received", this shows the "where and when" of any received rep.

Hardy, I appreciate the answer. I was just curious as to what the point of it was. Sounds cool. Thanks!

Now I have a question.
Are "rep power" and "Rep points" the same thing"

My rep "power" says 30, but my "points" say 59, and I was curious if anyone knew?

Dunno, but you got me curious.

Hi to all,

Here is what I have learned about the Rep Power and the little green markers. When someone gives rep-points they are accumulated and when they reach 100 you get one of the little green markers. The Rep Numbers seem to be how many rep-points you have accumulated toward the next green marker. So your rep power will be the number of green markers you have, times 100, plus the rep-points that appear above the green marks. So if you have one green marker that would be 100 rep-points. Then add the number above the green marker which I will say is 30, then your rep power will be 130.

I couldn't find a definitive answer but got this from the vBulletin WEB page. If any body finds it works different, please let us know.

I better see some Rep Points after this explamation.

Frank
