Default split shot vs. weighted flies

what do you guys prefer using. I use a combination of both. i usually have a pretty heavy fly with a light dropper. the heavy fly takes the lighter fly to the bottom. then i can adjust from there with split shot if needed.

im asking this because on another forum there was a hotted debate on this subject. the thread is here. take a look. its interesting and funny. • View topic - Standard beads vs. tungsten beads

I also use both. For streamers, i like the weighted flies, they seem to move more natural that way but for smaller stuff in fast currents, I use both.
