Redington CPS Rod

Whatever happened to Redington's CPS line of rods; winner of a 2007 Kudo award from Fly Rod & Reel magazine?

I have a 9'0" 8 wt.; purchased last Spring (2008) based on the recommendation of George Anderson at Yellowstone Anglers. It's a great rod. In fact, when it comes to fishing for medium sized Stripers in the Summer, I'll generally take my CPS 8 wt. over my Sage Xi-2 9 wt.

I noticed that Redington now sells a "CPX" line, that looks and sounds a lot like the older CPS line (black blank / not dark green). Is this the new CPS, but in Redington/Sage clothing?

I also noticed that Cabelas is selling off their inventory of CPS rods for $149. That has to be a buy if you're in the market for a 4, 5, or 6 wt.

Anyone have the scoop on what happened to the CPS line?
