To answer your question, the first two pictures are from the upper flats. The last two are indeed just downstream of baetis bend.

next time you are there inquire about access to Death Row, especially the lower section. There are some bigger fish in there, caught a couple near the bank in the early '90s.

Newby: Congrats, never thought of trying an ant pattern down there, the only thing I have ever used is small midge patterns, size 20- 26.
