Default flyfishing pictures

Here are some flyfishing pictures over the last 2 seasons. The last one wasn't much good. I only got to go trout fishing twice(I cant drive) and I only caught 2 or 3 and I missed 10 in one day!! At least there is panfish close by. I live in Illinois so there isn't any trout fishing so the nearest place is Meremac Springs Park. I am not a big fan of fishing in a trout park but its alot of fun and I dont expect my mom to be driving me all over the country.

These pictures are not very good so I am just going to post photobucket url's.
I looked at my moms camera and saw all these pictures she took. Some of them were really cool.

Good for you "kid".
Keep it up, I started out at Meramec Springs when I was figuring out fly fishing, the same as you.
Your mom did get some pretty cool pics, pretty cool of her to go there with you!

Depending where you live in IL, it is worth going to the driftless area for trout fishing. I live near Chicago and I am not much of a trout fisherman so I can find lots to fish around me.

Nothing wrong with fishing in a trout park, particularly if it's relatively convenient. Having said that, Meramec Springs is my least favorite of the four trout parks in MO. You can fish downstream of the park in the Meramec, too - it's much less crowded, not manicured like a park, and it might even be a little closer to your IL location. You'll need a trout permit if you want to keep any (check regulations). If you want more details, PM me.
