Default LA area

Is ther any good fly fishing in LA? I would be interested in trout mainly. My uncle lives up by the mountains and I am going to visit him this summer.

Depends on which mountains. Where abouts is your Uncle?

There can be very good fishing in the Sierras, but that's a bit of a haul from LA...

Perhaps some CA folks can weigh in once you tell us where your uncle lives.

Lots of creeks up here to flyfish in the summer, Where in L.A. did you want to try.. The San Gabriel River is pretty good. Just alot of swimmers which really ruins the peacefullness of the river. I have no idea on area's around Thousand Oaks. Try googling piru creek and just looking for rivers or streams in the area.
