its a beautiful spring day (my part of texas only has three seasons, spring, summer, and a whole two/four weeks of winter)! and i landed a beautiful under one pound bass (average for the pond i fish at) with a fly I MADE MYSELF!
the fly i made i'm calling a Samuel Lewis Slider, after my pops for the lure i hope to go for when i need assurance, and of course his whitening and black hair! (if it has another name please tell me, so i can give the person who made it the respect they deserve for their fly)
here are pics:
the first one is the pond where we fish... and because of all the trees, i fished off to the left at the point where it comes out a little and threw at angles to avoid the trees:
i will have pics up of the fly as soon as it is dry!
just thought i'd share with you guys! you've guys helped me since i got my first pole from a flea market! thank you all for your support! i'm retiring this version of the fly as peregrines always recommends to look to the future so you can remember your past!
