Default Moon Phase's

I have a question?????

How many anglers pay attention to the solunar tables?

Does this affect your trip planning ?
Does this affect your fly selection?
Does this affect anything in regard to fly fishing?

BTW... Did I mention I fly fish?
Did I mention it consumes my free time?
oh ..Don't forget to Put your toy's away when your done playing with them!

Hi DOK,

Been there done that; Do You Use the Solunar Tables? There are a bunch of opinions on the thread link. The only thing that I am sure is affected by the Moons' Phase is my wife. If I am home at the wrong phase it affects a lot

I do watch the moon cycle, not so much for the tidal changes or "best fishing times", more for planning night ops. milt.

Only if I need to make a sacrificial offering......

I'm pay more attention to the day to day habits. It's winter and cold, so the fish will be more active mid-day, things like that.

Thanks for the link it seems the forum populus doesnt care when the moon is just right.
I too go when I can. It dosent matter about the solunar table.
I check it's accuracy after I return too see if it was correct or close.
Many times the "Charts" have been right on...but an equal amount of time its been inaccurate. Me being the new guy I was unaware that this topic had been approached already. Oh well.
BTW...Does anyone have a link to FREE tables?

Thanks
Steve

Steve: I wouldn't worry about posting on topics that have been discussed in the past, if that were the case we would never have new threads! I think Ard was just trying to provide some info. to you that others had discussed. For me personally, I just haven't formed a good opinion on the subject, it just seems sometimes they are right and other times not so much.

Obviously I don't know this for from any scienticfic evidence...but in my own subjective experience I believe the moon phases effect fishing and when I'm planning a fishing trip where I'll travel more than 2 hours it does effect my choice of dates. However, anything closer than that I go regardless.
