Yesterday was windy and cold, so I was stripping the bugger short and slow.
I never really use a fast retrieve, however, but I did give it more time to settle further down yesterday.
That lake holds quite a few very large bass, and they can be see rocketing
out of the water during the summer months. When I fish for bass, they are
usually on the smaller side. This was something similar to my early Spring
bluegill excursion with an 8'6" 4wt a few weeks ago, during which I caught
a 24" channel cat
. No bluegill BTW
The Hat: I can't stand the way I look in hats, but since my hands were full
of bass, I didn't have a chance to take it off
