Default New Waders and Boots for Christmas

I was avery good boy last year and Santa brought me new breathable waders and boots .. more so since I'm a newb to fly fishing .. guess Santa was listening, huh?

Now, I KNOW I'll have to clean and dry these when I get home from the "adventure" and the POUNDS of fish I'll C&R in 2011. Gotta be optimistic y'all ....

Got any favorite tricks on how to clean and hang these out to dry ?

Thanks!

Default Re: New Waders and Boots for Christmas

Here is a webpage off the Simms website about cleaning. Just scroll down until you find that section.

If I am not going to give my waders a thorough cleaning, I just hose them down and let them drip dry from time to time. Most of the time, I just hang my waders up in the garage until the next adventure.

Since I still use felt soled boots, I give my boots a thorough cleaning if I know I will be fishing a different water. The boots will washed and scrubbed thoroughly. The felt soles are sprayed with a mild bleach solution. These boots will not be used until the felt is completely dried out.
