I would count that every time. Holy snikeys! That was a good bass. In live in N Minnesota where there is no such thing as a 24" Largemouth. Our state record was 23.5"

You've got a lot of great suggestions.

When all else fails.... and after you've eaten all the chips with the beer and bells.... you might try a sink tip (or fast sink poly leader) and something big and black- like a size 6 zonker, marabou muddler etc. Cast it out, count to 10 mississippi's or hippotomussessesses) to let it get down and then rip it back fast. You can vary the count to get down to different depths. Odds are 50-50 it'll either scare everything to the other side of the lake or get slammed by something...

Keep at it, let us know what happens-- we've all been there.

The trout in that lake have pretty much been caught, or died by now. They
looked on the verge of death a month ago. I went deep while they were there, and the results didn't change (snagged the bottom more than once, so
I was deep ). I'd rather have that LMB anyway. Problem with that fish is
it makes everything caught in that lake look small .

The stocked streams in SE Pennsylvania were doing well, and some still are....

Oh Yeah !!!! We've caught big bass there before, but that wasn't what I
was expecting that afternoon! Funny thing was he wouldn't fit in my net, so
I had to use the net like a spatula...LOL!!! I was afraid to hold it by the jaw,
assuming it might tear/tear off. He was heavy.
