I don't think I would want to be the one trying it out on a Pi$$ed off bear. Be my luck the batteries would be weak.

Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking! The other thing if it works as advertised, I wonder what that bear is going to do when he comes to? I wouldn't want to be in his vicinity.

If its strong enough for bears I want it to tase the car stereo theives that have gone through my neighborhood. Since moving there in 1979 I have only heard of one car break in until mine last month and in the last several weeks there have been 5. All our neighbors are quite friendly and look out for one another so I would have heard if there were others.

If it only has a range of 35 feet I'd better buy a rear view mirror to go with it.

When I moved to Alaska in 1974 the Fish and Game was recommending a 12ga shotgun with double ought buckshot for bear defense. It was a bad choice because people in a defense circumstance couldn't wait till the bear was within at least 10 yards. They finally decided that slugs were a better choice.

I bet if a bear is ever shot with one of these things that bear would never get close to humans again. This devise might have use at some places like the McNeil River State Game Sanctuary and Refuge in Alaska. You view bears up close and the Rangers don't carry guns.

It would be so simple but with that price tag, it's going to be spendy. What if you stumble into a pair or a mother with 2 grown pups? If they made it competitive to a big bore gun it may sell.

There you go!!! A twelve gauge loaded with slugs, pepper spray squirt-er mounted on one side of the barrel, and a high voltage taser on the other side. Universal bear repellent.
Good to go! Tom, I want to electrify the skin of my truck, just like the batmobile, and of course, Kit on night rider. Light'em up instead of let'em in.
Maybe we should start a new product thread?

Jim

Jim: Sounds like a perfect plan to me. When do we start development?

If someone will send me the gun I will kick my wifes dog, and when my wife charges we can rate it's effectiveness... Should I get a will first?
