Excellent! Nothing like the first time with something you created with your own hands. Well done.

Atta boy Mepet, I know how proud you must feel as I caught my first fish on a slef made fly just this year. Your going to be happy, I just know it.

Congrats, Boser

Hi mepeterser2451,

Isn't that a thrill to catch a fish on your own fly. I caught my first Grayling on my first real fly. I thought about saving the fly but went back for more and lost the fly. I have always wished that I had saved that fly.

Frank

Excellent-- congrats Mepete!

Isn't it great when it all comes together?

As Frank mentioned, you might want to save that fly along with a pic of that fish.

Peter,

I'm guessing at your name.......... It is good to see that you are having fun. Congratulation on the first milestone. Are you going to take this to the north and go after landlocks on the Kennebec this fall?

Congrats!

Nothing like catching one on a fly you tied. I still have my fly, and its in a frame with a couple cell phone pics of the one I caught. I hope I never get over the thrill of catching fish on my tied flies.

thanks! Peters is my last name. Mike Peters. I'm using an old username assigned to me from school. Probably should be a bit more creative. I've talked with friends about planning a fishing trip further north in maine. Haven't actually made the plans yet though.
