Default Have you ever seen a vise like this?

I was just perusing fleaby and this Orvis vise jumped out at me.

The auction ends in a few hours...a truly unique looking vise.

I have; Slate Run Orvis Shop (pretty sure) circa 1998 - 99. Obviously someone wants it judging by the bidding

It does look quite medieval. Must be true rotary with that counter-weighted handle? I'm gonna watch it and see how high it goes.

I missed being able to see it. I saw 300 plus dollars, then it clicked off and said this is a private listing.

That vise was made by thompson for orvis its the predecessor to the cobra vise they market now. I believe it used the same jaw sets as the 360 slt.
I don't believe it was on the market for long.

Funnily enough this is the exact same vice and its for sale. It is not the vice from the previous auction though folks.
