This still Continues to be an awesome thread. When and/or if I ever actually get a camera I'll take some pictures. I have a TON of streamers that are deserving of some pictures.

I just noticed them, Cliff, Are those Airhead flies done with Softex?

I'd like to see a SBS sometime. I've tried to mess with them a bit but they never come out right.

I thought you big streamer tiers would be interested in watching this. I saw this video yesterday and this fly is designed by Brad Bohen of Musky Country Outfitters, he calls it the Hangtime Optic Minnow. I particularily like how he uses the reverse tie in this pattern. Pretty awesome looking pattern with lots of movement potential in the water.

That's an awesome fly Larry, Thanks for the Video. I Really think it would be good in a white and blue for some big hybrids here on the Osage tailwater here in MO!

I've never heard of Red Rockets. I love them though. You made some beautiful flies there!

Here's a new streamer that I'm working on, I call it the brown bomber. I finally got my hands on some sculpin heads and have been going crazy tying them with different materials. I'm making an articulated version tonight.

That sucker looks good. are you going to use articulated shanks. The sculpin helmets are great. If you re interested, rich strolls tied a great sculpin called the meat helmet sculpin. Check him out on vimeo or at his blog catching shadows. There is a video for the fly on vimeo for sure

Here's my first attempt at a Rangeley Style streamer. Its a free style, not meant to resemble any known pattern, but if it does i apologise
The wings and hook were a gift, all i had to do was put them together (thanks Gary)
Materials:
Tail - Grizzly schlappen fibers
Body - Yellow floss, the ribbed with yellow floss ( hard to see these ribs
Rib - Counter rib with white floss, then rib with green floss in the same direction as the yellow floss rib
Wing - Preassembled Deep green Whiting American Hackes (2 each side), flanked by woodie flank and jungle cock.
Throat - Mixed yellow and Grizzly schlappen
Head - Black with white band
Gloss is Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails

Thanks for looking
I think the floss body could be a lot more smooth, but for a first ever streamer, i'm happy.

Eunan, Looks good from here!

Do you burnish your floss bodies before ribbing them? If not, you'll find a difference when you do.
