Default Spinning deer hair

Does anyone have a link or sugestions on how to do this? 1 of the hot striper flys in my area is the snake fly i don't have a clue on how to spin and trim deer hair. I could just buy some but i think it is much more rewarding catching a fish on something i tied myself.

Try these:

Fringewood News: Angler #1.07

How do I spin deer hair... - SurfTalk

Snake Fly

The last should be all you need...plus a good supply of bambi hide.

Good luck !!!!

Thumbs up Re: Spinning deer hair

I am almost there i have spun a few flies and they look pretty good i was wondering what are the best type of eyes to use and the best way to attach them?? I did catch a few small stripers on a white snake fly about 4" long on a size 2 hook great action in the water, second one i tied all white with a little copper krystal flash. Your fringewood link really helped alot on how to tie and fish them thanks.
