Talking Ok, so I tried something new...

Lately I've been playing with some new deer hair patterns, poppers, Caddis flies, ect. Tonight I decided to give it a on some nymphs. One is somewhat of awkward emerger, the second just a basic nymph. I'm not thrilled with the heads or ribbing on either fly, but I'll keep experimenting. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Looking good so far. As you keep tying proportions will get better and such. Take a look at the bugs in your local waters to see how abdomens compare in size to thoraxes and that will make it easier. For the tails on those flies, try sizing the fibers with the hook shank, making them about hook shank long. Overall, good experimentation! Very buggy, reminiscent of the Double Standard fly, a combination of the pheasant tail and hares ear nymphs. Keep em coming! Those will certainly catch fish!
