Default Re: Peacock Herl vs Peacock Black Ice dub

Herl breakage could have something to do with the quality of the herl. I find that the strung herl is a lot more brittle than herl straight from the feather. I use A LOT of the peacock colored ice dub and find it is a nice substitute for the real stuff. I think I catch just as many fish, if not more on the ice dub.
