Default New To Fly Tying

My wife gave me a fly tying kit for Christmas, sadly there wasn't much in the way of instructions included. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good book containing step by step instructions along with patterns to tie.

Fly Anglers OnLine, Your Complete Internet Flyfishing Resource. check out the fly tying section. Worked better for me as instruction than any book.

I'd rather hunt fish than bait deer any day.

Ya, save money and use internet sources. I have yet to struggle finding tying instructions on the net.

"The fly tiers benchside reference" will show you how to do most anything you need to know, it is a pricey book, and doesn't show many patterns, but with the knowledge base in this book you would probably be ok.
This is a book you will treasure forever.

Look at the Umpqua web site, should be bookoo flies there.
