I have an old railroad clerks desk and I just cleared it completely of tying matls. and tools. I've put everything in the portable set-up in anticipation of my upcoming road trip(s) this spring, summer and fall.

Cheers,

MontanaMoose

PEG BOARD! Got to love it. I added some a couple of weeks ago and now when I am not on the road I can actually put my gear out...plus a nice shelf for my stuff I use in pictures.

Oh trust me, with all the swaps going on and the shows coming up, I cleaned up the bench for the picture! LOL

All my material is still in baggies in the roll away so that helps. I just grab the baggies I need....see them piled up in the chair...WHOOPS! CHAIR ISN'T IN THE PICTURE LOL!!!

I generally tie sitting on the floor with this little station thing. I have materials spread out all over and the station is a wreck. I just organized it though. I always tie sitting on the floor. I don't really know why when I could use the table.

My old bench had been moved a couple of times too many and has been relegated to taking up space in my cellar woodshop, so I decided to make a portable type bench that my wife might be willing to look at.

First try is the top unit based on some plans I had. This seemed pretty good but a bit too small, so onto an upgrade that is the lower unit. These had not been planned to use together, but lucky for me the fit together well. Don’t match, but this is my office and consider them a “prototype” or work in progress. Hope to give this new set up a try tonight

A neat and tidy desk may be the sign of an unhealthy lifestyle? That is what I tell myself as an excuse.

Shrob, Paulm, I'm insanely jelous!!
My desk top is an old hollow wood door thats been in and out of desk top duties for many years. It is tightly connected to the file cabinet and the speaker so it cannot upset.
If anyone recognizes the photos on the wall, it answers the poll question about "what do you listen to.."

Hi Cliff,

You must have good eyes with no light or magnifier. I use my glasses, an Opti Visor and a magnifier all at the same time.

Your set up is very functional and all a guy needs.

Frank
