St Patrick's day wig

I was just in the local Walmart and came across some green and yellow wigs. My wife thought I was crazy when I put one in the cart and said I can use it for tying my big streamers for pike. Has anyone else done this before or I'm I going off the deep end. Like she thinks I'm.

I just mentioned doing it something like two days ago. If they are straight hair, take a hair dryer on high and wrap about three inches of the end around a pencil. Heat the snot out of it. leave it on the pencil till it cools. When you get it unaligned and fritzed up, it does the same thing as big fly fiber. You get the bulk witout the weight. Plus you can get the wigs in many more colors than big fly fiber and it's cheaper. Many also come with mylar tinsel in them in colors you can't buy in fly fishing stuff also. Good stuff.

If it has curly hair tie it in as is...VERY SPARSELY..... then hit it with the hair dryer and stretch it out to shape

When you finish the flies the least you can do is sprinkle them with a little Guinness in the name of everything Irish. Then drink what is left.

A few other things I found @ Walmart: Chain bead eyes. Doll wiggle eyes. Synthetic fiber feather duster. Foam sheets. In addition to what has been mentioned so far. Hmmm, maybe your wife is right about crazy...LOL
