This is the first fly of any type i've tied in about 6 weeks.

Hook is a 3/0 reworked Sunday, not sure of the exact shape though....

Would like some things back.

There is a nice banksian sub in there under the mallard....wish now i'd put it on the bottom, or made the roof a bit shorter.

Body hackle didnt show up as i'd have liked either.

Pocono. I've started using topping and tails right off the head, with very little manipulation, if any, only to straighten them out. I've started to steep all my heads in hot water for an hour or so, then let them dry naturally. I dont even take tails and topping from the same head anymore, or at least i dont consciously. I figured that in the olden days, that wasnt necessarily the case.
