Thanks Rip. How tall should the wraps be on the cone wrap in front of the material after you fold it back?

To the top/lip (?) of where the material bends back.
It won't seem to be enough but the material will conform after the fly is run under the faucet

Another good way to build a fly with a hollow middle is with a spreader as done with this Buffy fly
