Default Making your own bobbin holders

Here is a link to a power point document showing how to make your own bobbins.

If any of you find it useful or have improvements to share please feel free. If any of you actually make the bobbins, I'd love to see the end results.
Good tying,
FXP

Thanks for this- I might try this out using some (or all) of the techniques. I started making one before but let that project go. I ended up bending a hanger for the frame, but it was just too thick. I'll let you know if I do this one. I have a couple of flies I'm working on right now. So many projects so little time...then there's the bills.

Is it difficult to thread the home made bobbin through the two glass beads or does a regular bobbin threader do the trick? This looks like a good project when I am off for the holidays rather than sitting around watching television.

Thanks.

Roy

i made my own bobbin threader and have no difficulty with the beads. the wire i used is thin and i have not tried a commercial threader so i guess there could be a difference. you can also use slightly larger beads.
