Default Photobackground and fly

One tips for background for your fly pictures .
If you have 2 flash you can use one for the color of the background.
Place a cellofan or gel filter on one flash. Place it behind the fly and use a grey backgrund. If you want a black background - do not let the flash point at the grey background.
Here is a Youtube link that will inform you how to do it.

Here is one picture with a old Kodak gelatine filter placed on the flash behind the fly and shot to a grey background.

And one picture with one flash that was not pointed to the grey background.

btw. the fly will never sink and is very nice for the people +50 ( easy to se the fly on the water). The white suspender balls is put into a ladys nylon stocking and tyed down to the hook.

Nice tip, and nice fly. I use a diffuser on my canon flash, but there is nothing quite like having a "hair" light behind the model, weather it be a fly or a person.

Trygve: Thanks for sharing, I always have color issues when taking photos of my flies.

Thank you Larry

Here is one that I used one flash at right and reflector on left front - still grey background. ( larger image if you click on it)
