Question Re: bobbin problem

This thread convinced me (if I ever need convincing to buy a new gadget anyway ) to buy a Rite bobbin because of its adjusting mechanism for thread slippage. Anyone have any thoughts/experience with it? Don't like to buy tools that I'm only going to end up replacing later with something better.
