Those dubbing brushes are awesome. I use them on most of my steelhead flies.

You're welcome!

I've tied up some other patterns for the trip as well. Hopefully I will enough opportunities to try them out on to see if they work.

I'll let you know if they do and give you some details on how to tie them. I'll be back in town on the 18th so it should leave you with enough time to tie them up if they prove to be successful.

Good deal. i dont leave until the 29th so I should be able to whip up a couple. Seems easy enough. tie a tail, eyes and claws, wrap brush, add some legs, trim to shape, save trimming for more dubbing brushes. MUUHAHA!!!

Im glad I decided to buy them this morning since they only had 1 blue crab set left in stock. Funny how on their ebay store it was free shipping, but was 14.95 shipping if I went to their website to order it.

Those black beauties look excellent, I may need to add some to the trout rotation for my spring fishing. It always amazes me how simple midge patterns can be and how incredibly effective they are.

Very nice fly, flytire.

Don't hesitate to add them Jaybo! 18 zebra midges with tungsten have been my go-tos in deeper spots, with similar black beauties (sometimes with a few strips of flashabou) in shallower waters and when emergers are the bug-du-jour.
