Getting back on topic............. I haven't been tying for quite some time because I've been away but I've been thinking about tying

This is what I am thinking about;

It's the only pattern, well proven, that I have the need to replace before spring so I've got to get with it soon. For now it's just a ghost image in my mind but I'll add some color soon.

Kinda inspired by Ard's Ghost Image there and wrapped up another #6 dry, I liked how it came out and will be tying these in more trout sizes.

Thanks Boz I'm working on a new ball of wax!

Brotha you got style! I want to see one of those Pink Mysteries in the jaw of a big sea run brookie! They're all wicked ties but I'm partial to the third Pink Mystery, it just looks like it would be deadly.

A few more tied while out on the road Monday afternoon! Notice a trend?

Just can't have enough Buggers & Clousers!

I may have to buy a couple more fly boxes.

The Buggers (unweighted) are tied on Tiemco 3761, # 2 size hooks with silver holographic Estaz Metallique bodies, the Clouser on a VMC 9255, size 1/0.

Thanks Bash
I too would love to see it in the jaw of a big salter. At first I was skeptical about how effective it would be. My wife took her first sea run brookie on one. And it has produced many fish for me too. Its now a must in the box. It seems to mimic a kind of shrimp pattern. I like the contrast of the teal flank with the pink. Looks kinda shrimpy.

What is it with sea run fish and pink? Pink is a good all around color but anadromous fish just love it!

Avs, that's a super looking fly, I'll take a dozen Seriously though, your tying has really progressed in the time you've been at it. It has been fun to watch! That's a killer looking tie; very, very well done!
