From what I understand, when the trouts go out to sea, they gorge themselves on krill shrimp. These little guys are kinda pink/salmoney in colour.

here's a pic of a school swarming a jelly fish. Kinda cool.

Reckon you're right on there. I guess for the west coasters squid could appear to be a pink color too.

I guess I'm on a feather wing kick cause I got steel on the brain!

That is cool Bash. I bet a scaled down version of that on a size 12 or 14 would be killer on the brookies.
Those great dabbler patterns that stuartpengs ties are similar in style.

Always found red to be a great addition to almost any fly pattern. I like the injured, hanging guts feel I'm sure it gives to the trout who's decided to bite.
