I'm going to have to look through my cape again and see if I have anything like that.

Atlantic salmon muddlers. I find that when you fish with a riffling hitch, the muddler head makes a more pronounced wake than a regular wet fly.

(Top to bottom: Pompier muddler, Hairy Mary muddler (green butt variant), George, all size 6)

Nice man! I've never liked spinning the head on salmon irons. I've always thought that a down eye hook skates and wakes better but I guess if you hitch them it doesn't matter.

Yeah, it's a pain, because you're either trying to cover the thread wraps from the wing or trying to spin around the flat section where the eye doubles back against the shank. I often find it doesn't spin evenly and I have to go back and stack extra hair to fill in sparse spots. But I do like the results!

It's still cold and snowy here in NY, but i saw little tiny stonies walking around on the snow yesterday. I tied up this sucker to see if just maybe...

This is a 14, may even be too big but i'm going blind and I wasn't up for a 16.
