another favourite style of fly for loch-style fishing is the crippler. Here's a few recent cripplers, and a couple of sneaky dabblers too.

Hook - B175, 10, 12
Thread - UniThread 8/0 Red
Butt - Flat Gold
Body - Olive & Sunburst Electric
Body Hackle - Ginger Grizzle
Rib - Gold Oval
First Shoulder Hackle - GP Yellow
Second Shoulder Hackle - Brown Grizzle
Head Hackle - Silver Doctor Blue (Two turns)

Just started tying again and tying to retrain my fingers. Thought a few bass sized buggers would be a good place to start.

It started out as a bugger and ended up like this:

Mustad 3366, #1 with 1/30 oz dumbbells.

Casts fairly well on a 9" #7 and holds a good profile in the current. Doesn't have that "I'm going to China" action common to a lot of heavily weighted Clousers
