I decided to go for this look, for the F-Fly. Here is one I think will really do well with the crappie.

It's summer time, so I've had terrestrials on my mind. Been tying for almost 5 years and never tried a meaty hopper pattern. Finally took the plunge, got some foam from J Stockard today, and this was my first attempt. Gonna tie a few more tonight and then feed then to some bluegills tomorrow night.

Here's a better picture with a Madam X I also tied up tonight.

Went to K-Mart with the wife... Of course I hit the fishing section and tons of stuff is on clearance. Hook packs were anywhere from .45c to .74c

I saw these red hooks and a stupid crayfish idea popped in my head... Just a prototype so its pretty ugly but I'll probably fish it just for the heck of it.

I hate when a good idea just doesn't come together well :banghead:
I've purchased all kinds of hooks with ideas in mind. I also fish with other tackle, so I have different styles of hooks anyway. At least you're thinking outside the box!

I've had it in my mind that type of hook will work well for bass bugs!

Will do! Thought I would go after them in earnest next time out. Caught a few last weekend while targeting early morning smallies, nice to have so many species to chase in my area.
