Great looking little flies i tied with a new material i sourced - i'm calling them Sparkle Spawn (a sucker spawn variant)

It is a micro estaz type material with much longer straggly fibers emanating from the main stem.

Tied on Size 10 #2457 style hooks

A batch of Rs2's for the midge swap. This is an accomplishment for me since these hooks are about the size of the barbs on the hooks I normally tie

It's a productive lil bug and easy enough to tie. Even with clumsy hands like mine.

midges or chironomids, same thing in my book, though I am sure the types the understand bugs and latin will disagree

red ones, black ones, chrome ones (getting ready for the tie along), and a couple rusty brown ones
