Its ultra chenille, cut exactly to 1 card width. perfect length on an Allen B200 size 4, the overall mouse is about 3.5" long. perfect field mouse size for the pond of insanity. I dont tie these super strong though, as they only last a few fish at the pond. ( The insanity pond has 15-30lb channel catfish that eat mice off the surface, they tear the flies up pretty dang good after 2-3 fish so I tend to just make a bunch. )

I used to tie them with foam ears in place and whiskers but they catch fish the same without them so i stopped adding them in. It only takes a couple minutes to tie those guys, going to tie a few more tonight, maybe even an articulated one

Once I got the nymph-knack I actually got bored catching fish on this fly. It's a good one. "Olive Scud".

I even caught a muskrat on it !
