Hi all, well that's another season gone - all too quickly! Hope it was as good for you all over the water. Time to start re-stocking.

I fish this with a fast sinking line and fast stripping. First I lay it out in the sunlight so it does glow. It has been amazing!

I like it Joni, is this your creation and how does it fish? I asked because a while back, probably last winter, I was tying streamers and came up with something close to this but not nearly as nice. I was tying streamers with white sparkle yarn and wanted some color and added red marabou in different places. The one I ended up liking best was all white with a matuka style marabou back. But I haven't fished the fly...yet. This weekend will be a streamer fishing almost solely so I'm going to try out a lot of test patterns.

I added red under the theory that it triggers an instinctual reaction in predator fish as they see "blood." Who believes this? Is it real or just based on Jaws projection onto trout?

I have had this glow in the dark yarn forever. I thought I would try it in this pattern that I use a lot, but left the marabou off the front. I laid it in the sun for a little bit then cast it out with a Type VII line. I was getting hits even before it hit the bottom.

YOUR way is not the ONLY way when tying flies!

Fly tyers can be masters of making things complicated!

You're only limited by lack of imagination. Be creative, experiment.
