Cheers Eddie. Do you use them much over there? Don't see too many of them posted on here so wondered what their popularity was like and if you've tried them since moving?

Stuart, they are definitely not as popular over here. Not sure why
I have used them a few times on the Housatonic river with reasonable success

Good to hear Eddie. Proof, if ever it's needed, that a trout, is a trout, is a trout, no matter where you are.

This one is as follows

Hook: Streamer #4 to #8
Thread: Red
Tail: Marabou and Pearl Flashabou
Body: Blended Angora Goat and UV red in a dubbing loop. (I prefer UV2 by Spirit River)
Weight optional. I generally do not and I let the line put it in the zone.

Variation, cover hook with the Pearl Flashabou first, then spaced wraps of the dubbing so that is shows through.
Thanks for the details....

Finally started to mess around with making fly heads with laser dubbing........this is going to be a problem. I will get pictures tomorrow when I have natural light. Was nice to tie something that was 5" long with a size 2 and 1 hook articulated instead of all this size 14 and 16 beadhead nymph stuff :P
