Been trying to get into tying for Lake Michigan spring steelhead. I honestly don't think I have that great of an idea of what I'm doing, but I have some kind of an idea. My box for them consists of stonefly nymphs, and some streamers that I don't think were designed for them. Here's one I whipped up just now. Click the image to open in full size.
If anyone can help me out with getting started in to great lakes steelhead, please send me a PM. It would be much appreciated. The fly is a peacock bodied wooly bugger with a rabbit strip tail.
