How 'bout a "Pink Lady" to look at, modified but there's enough left from the original to be recognized....

I hunted duck as a pup and really enjoyed the sport. The quills come from a Greenhead I busted back when. I ate the duck and now it's feathers have made the internet. The duck is now immortal !

Other than that, its been all about top water stuff. Man I cant wait to throw these deep into some weed beds! Most are tied with a light wire weed guard.

Back to Sculpins, I have enough tubes and Intruders to last through several seasons. I don't lose many flies so unless they come undone due to poor construction I should be set. Call me lazy but I have not been taking pictures of flies tied.

I'm making a new style Sculpin with a Zonker strip that slides free on a strip of power braid where the #6 stinger hook is tied. I saw this style at a shop, they use the waste from tube tying to make the slider, I think it's all about not having the trailing hook get tangled.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words

These are a substantial size lure.

I don't know if the slider is going to be beneficial or if it's just a gadget.

Maybe I'm becoming a sucker for gizmos as I get older huh?

I'll get this figured out better to where I use just a tiny slice of tube for the slider. I also need to work at getting them fatter in the front. The fish you are trying to catch with those are average about 18" with some bigger.

Looking at the construction it looks to me like something that is worth a try. If it does what it looks like it could do it should be a killer. Thanks for posting. Is that raccoon at the collar?
