Default Visiting Holland, MI and Ypsilanti(sp?), MI Where to fish??

I will be visiting those two places within the next two weeks. Does anybody have any stream reccomendations? I don't want to travel too far. Also reccomendations on flies? Access points?

Thanks,

Nate

From Holland, if you head north, there are abundant trout streams. Rogue, Muskegon, White, Pere Marquette. I'm only familiar with the P.M. There is a great fly shop in Baldwin; Baldwin Bait and Tackle.

For Ypsi, you can fish for smallies all along the Huron between Dexter and Ann Arbor. There is a series of metro parks along Huron River Drive with lots of access. You can contact Colton Bay Outtfitters in Ann Arbor for details.

Check out the Hex shop in Grand Rapids, they can let you know some spots in the area including the Rogue.

For Ypsi area, like another person mentioned, the Huron is great. If you go to Delhi Metropark it has easy stream access for smallies.

For Holland look at the Rogue and the Coldwater, both fairly close to Holland.

For Ypsi, the Huron is a great Smallie stream; lots of access in the MetroParks above Ann Arbor. There are also some nice spots in Ypsi right in town. For flies for the Huron, small white streamers, small poppers and gurglers, wooly buggers in assorted colors, and some caddis...
