Prairie river merrill,wi

Hello,
Has anyone fly fished the prairie a lot? Im going this saturday for early season trout so barbless no harvest and single hooks only! WOOT! But anyways im wondering if any one has any tips for that river ill be fishing it from the middle school till prolly a little south of 17/west of it. The waters gonna be cold, lots of brookies a few browns so even if your not familiar with this river any help would be appreciated. Im most likely gonna be doin some hopper droppers with some blue wing olive as an indicator, and either a BH stonefly, or bh pheasant tail!

Thanks,
Nick

Hard to beat pheasant tails, copper johns and weighted scuds in the early season. Don't be afraid to throw small olive buggers or leach patterns if nymphing isn't working for you.
