Trout opener in Michigan
 
This past weekend was the trout opener in Michigan. We make the drive and fish the West side of the state primarily during weekends of the month of May. I sneak out and fish locally on the East side during the week. :icon_wink

We floated the Muskegon on Sunday for trout and possibly some steel. We did well and landed plenty of rainbows and browns. The most productive fly was a beadhead caddis nymph imitation. A great time, even if it was a little on the chilly side and we even saw a few snow flakes. :icon_eek:
